The Greycroft Portal Finds

A semi- fictionalised archive that has evolved out of the act of Nuclear Fabulation. Using the archive as a portal for time travel, Kennedy combines accounts of items from the atomic holdings of the Science Museum, London and Cumbria County Council archives, with creative writing, fieldnotes, photographic documentation, together with found and made objects. This mash up of information, offers up way markers with which to navigate deep time journeys and open up discussion about the potential to form new relationships with high level nuclear waste.

The Greycroft Portal Finds are a variety of items that appear to have   moved through time in an unorthodox manner via a portal located at Greycroft stone circle, near Sellafield, West Cumbria. The items are attributed to five individuals: Miss C Fair, Harry Thornley, CASS(Roam12), Bridget Kennedy and Dr. Wilhelmina Fletcher. A short prose poem reveals that the collection was compiled by Wilhelmina Fletcher and forms instructions for its unpacking.
