A good friend lent me this book: Adventure Unlimited: A Diviner Travels The World by Evelyn Penrose, 1958. The image above is from P157, aside form the careful staging of the objects what appears to me is the title of this image: Outfit for the modern diviner, feels like this could be a title for an installation of mine. Although the book centres on a very commercial use of divining to find oil and mineral deposits, as well as water, the descriptions of the processes she uses and the prejudices that the author encounters feel relevant to my research.
